Welcome to Esperanza!
[edit]Welcome, Dubbya9, to Esperanza! As you might know, all the Esperanzians share one important goal: the success of this encyclopedia. Within that, we then attempt to strengthen the community bonds, and be the "approachable" side of the project. All of our ideals are held in the Charter, the governing document of the association.
Now that you are a member you should read the guide to what to do now or you may be interested in some of our programs. A quite important program is Stressbusters, which seeks to support editors who have encountered any stress from their Wikipedia events, and are seeking to leave the project. So far, Esperanza can be credited with the support and retention of several users. We will send you newsletters to keep you up to date. Also, we have a calendar of special events, member birthdays, and other holidays that you can add to and follow.
In addition to these projects, several more missions of Esperanza are in development, and are currently being created at Esperanza/Proposals.
If you have any other questions, concerns, comments, or general ideas, Esperanzian or otherwise, know that you can always contact Natalya by email or talk page. Consider introducing yourself at the Esperanza talk page! Alternatively, you could communicate with fellow users via our IRC channel, #wikipedia-esperanza (which is also good for a fun chat or two :). If you're new to IRC, you may find help at an IRC tutorial. I thank you for joining Esperanza, and look forward to working with you in making Wikipedia a better place to work!
Fantastic Four 2
[edit]Hi, I saw your recent edit to FF2. I think you read the comment wrong. What is said was 'don Payne's (who also wrote this movie in parentheses) script (for FF2) was accepted for the sequel.' You read it as 'Don Payne's script for My Super Ex-girlfriends was the sequel.' The convention of using a prior work in parentheses is a common one, and none of the editors had a problem with it, as it kept the article clear and brief. As such, I've reverted it, but I wanted to explain why.ThuranX 13:38, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
- No prob. I realized what was going on, and figured you'd rather know than oops twice that way, LOL. ThuranX 06:01, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
Alabama Slam
[edit]Sorry i didnt reply earlier but i didnt see your comment... Alabama Slam was the name given to the move by Holly. However, it indeed later became the generic name for the move... when that was first written it wasnt yet the generic name but i didnt really wanna change it as i think the article should reflect that Holly gave the water-wheel slam that name. ---Paulley

Hello, there.
I just wanted to know if you're able to take a picture of St. Mark's Coptic Orthodox Church in Toronto. You can find out the street address online (the links to those websites are on the image pages). The current images are, unfortunately, copyrighted, as I was the one who uploaded them.
The current (copyrighted) images may get deleted, so if they do, then I'll need to replace them.
I need you or somebody else to take a picture, release its copyright, and upload it onto Wikipedia. I HAVE contacted others to notify them also, so if there are more than one pictures, that's OK (I can still make an article on them). I want these images to be used for, specifically, the article "Coptic Orthodox Church in Canada". The image page is, again:

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
